Cholesterol issues to think about

There is no such thing as Lipitor-deficiency disease! Good thing, because Lipitor has side effects that you may not want.

And now the major pharmaceutical companies are working with the government to create new guidelines to get people started on Lipitor and its cholesterol-reducing cousins before any signs or symptoms of high cholesterol appear in the body.

In other words, people are being told to start these drugs when they're perfectly well. Because someday they're likely to need them. (Couldn't be the profit motive...)

Fortunately there are other choices. For example, Shaklee Corporation has developed a product called Cholesterol Regulation Complex that has been shown to reduce the bad cholesterol and raise the good without drugs.

It's worked for me. My cholesterol was inching upward. A year on this product, and I got tested again. Sometime during that year my triglycerides dropped a huge amount and my HDL went up - without my making other changes. Those are good changes - and no drug has been shown to raise HDL. My body was missing something, and this formulation seemed to supply it.
